The All-Black Hot Dog and Ice Cream Are Actually Part Of IKEA Gaming’s Launch Celebration

You may have stumbled upon IKEA’s all-black Charcoal Chicken Sausage hot dog and Caramel Soft Serve ice cream on social media since earlier this week especially if you are a foodie. Already available in IKEA Malaysia and Singapore, the company has never publicly revealed the genesis behind both delicacies.

As it turns out, they were actually made specially for the release of the IKEA Gaming x ROG collection which will be made available in Malaysia starting from tomorrow, 11 November onwards. This was confirmed to us by Edmund Ignatius, Ikea Malaysia’s Marketing & Communications Specialist during the collection’s media preview earlier today.

Edmund pointed out that this is not the first time that IKEA has released a special IKEA Bistro’s menu to celebrate a release of a new collection. One previous example he said was the Beef Chilli Con Carne Hotdog and Lingonberry Orange Tea Slushie which were made to celebrate the launch of the IKEA x Lego’s Bygglek collection back in March.

As for IKEA Malaysia’s all-black hot dog and ice cream, they will be made available until the end of December. Price-wise, they are priced at RM3.90 and RM1.90 respectively or you can obtain them as a combo for RM5.50.
