OPPO Malaysia has announced its latest A-series midrange smartphone, the OPPO A95, will be launching in Malaysia next week. This particular model appears to be a different variant from the A95 5G that was released exclusively in China back in April, with different specs and 4G-only connectivity.
OPPO’s new phone is equipped with a decently sized 6.43-inch flat display, featuring a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. On the upper left corner of its screen is a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera, and there’s also an under-display fingerprint scanner for user authentication. On the bottom of the handset is a USB-C port for both charging and data transfer, and those with a preference of using wired earphones will be glad to know that there’s a 3.5mm audio jack as well.
Under the hood of the OPPO A95 is a Snapdragon 662 chipset, along with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It’s also worth noting that there’s also the onboard RAM Expansion tool that converts storage into a set amount of additional RAM if you so wish. As for battery, this variant comes with a larger 5,000mAh capacity when compared to the China-only 5G model, which comes with only 4,310mAh. The A95 features 33W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging support that is capable of topping up its battery from zero to over 50% in just half an hour.
Photography-wise, on the back of the smartphone is a triple camera setup which consists of a 48MP f/1.7 main shooter, paired together with dual 2MP sensors for macro and depth sensing. Housed within the aforementioned cutout on its display is a 16MP selfie camera.
The new OPPO A95 smartphone is slated to launch locally on 15 November, which will be live streamed at 8pm via OPPO Malaysia’s official YouTube and Facebook pages. Naturally, its pricing and date of availability will be announced during next week’s event.
