realme first revealed the GT Neo 2 back in September in its home market in China. Now, the company has announced that the phone will be available in the local market. And alongside it is the realme Pad, the brand’s first tablet.
Starting with the phone, the realme GT Neo 2 comes with a 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, which boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and a 600Hz touch sampling rate. On the inside it runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. And powering it is a large 5000mAh battery that supports 65W charging. It also sports stereo speakers by making the earpiece do double duty.
For cameras, it comes with a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera setup at the back, being the main, wide-angle and macro cameras, respectively. In front, it has a 16MP shooter that sits in a punch hole in the top left corner of the screen.
As for the realme Pad, it has a 10.4-inch 2000 x 1200 IPS LCD display. Inside, it packs a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, and a 7100mAh battery. The company claims that this gives it 12 hours of video playback, or six hours of gameplay. You can also use it to charge other devices. It also features four speakers. They are not exactly at each corner, but it’s close enough that you can get stereo sound in both portrait and landscape modes.
The realme GT Neo 2 is priced at RM2099. As for the realme Pad, there are four possible configurations, and therefore four corresponding prices. To start, there’s the 3GB + 32GB configuration with only WiFi connectivity, which is priced at RM899. Upgrade this to LTE connectivity, and the price goes up to RM849. The remaining two models, with 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB configurations, don’t have a WiFi only variant. And they are priced at RM999 and RM1099 respectively. All of them will be available starting 11 November 2021, via the official realme stores on Lazada and Shopee.
