We’ve seen bits and pieces about Warner Bros’ upcoming platform fighter, which is also rumoured to be called Multiversus. An image of what looks to be the playable character roster has made its way online. And the publisher is also scrubbing them almost as quickly as they can spread.
Twitter user @LiquidHbox was likely the first to share the image, which has already gotten scrubbed. Others have been able to replicate the image before that happened, and from it we can see what looks to be a 13-character roster. And they are Stephen Universe, Batman, Harley Quinn, Morty, Finn, Jake, Shaggy, Superman, Wonder Woman, Gandalf, Rick, Tom and Jerry. The last two occupy a single character slot. No clue who the 13th character is, but it may be an original character made specifically for the game.

The fact that Warner Bros is actively scrubbing the image and videos made with it lends credence to its legitimacy. All that being said, the company itself has not said anything, so it should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Assuming it’s real, it’s a pretty small roster for a platform fighter of today. There’s also notably no Mortal Kombat representation. But considering the arrangement, it’s unlikely that Warner Bros would leave it with an odd-numbered character roster. Jeff Grubb of GamesBeat previously said that Multiversus may be a free-to-play title, so the rest may be coming as paid DLC.
