A Quiet Place and its sequel were, according to common consensus, pretty good movies. So good, in fact, that they are getting a video game adaptation. Which is interesting as it’s something that usually goes the other way round, and causing much frustration to fans of either form of media.
The video game adaptation of A Quiet Place is being made by iLLOGIKA, which has worked on a wide range of games before. Among them are the likes of Ubisoft’s battle royale Hyper Scape, the retro-styled Cuphead, mobile games Lara Croft Go and Deus Ex Go. Also involved in the development process is EP1T0ME Studios.
A third member in the process of making a video game adaptation of A Quiet Place is Saber Interactive, an Embracer Group subsidiary. While it too has a long list of games it helped develop under its belt, the company is only serving as the publisher this time around.
While the game’s world is based on A Quiet Place, the game itself will feature an original storyline. You’ll still get aliens that react violently to sound in the story-driven, singleplayer experience. But it’s unclear as to if this means the game will feature its own original cast of characters. No release date for now beyond a 2022 window.
