Valve is usually very secretive about its upcoming Steam sales, at least to the consumer public. It usually takes a leak, or noticing one coming up on SteamDB, to tell if there’s an upcoming sale. But now, the company has just put up a page with dates for all the upcoming sales for the year.
The page itself is probably not new, even if the discovery of it is. While it’s titled “Upcoming Steam Events”, the first item on the list is the Steam Next Fest, which took place earlier this month. This is followed by the Tabletop Fest, which has just concluded. And the upcoming one, the Halloween Sale scheduled for 28 October to 1 November, is an annual staple.
Technically, the remaining two are staples in their own right, especially the last one. These are the Steam Autumn and Winter sales, taking place between 24 and 30 November, and 22 December 2021 and 5 January 2022, respectively. While there was little doubt that these were on the way, we now know their exact dates.
With that being said, mark your calendars and get your wallet or bank account ready. That pile of shame is not going to grow on its own, especially if you were among those who had the chance to clear them out between the beginning of last year and now.
