Four months after it was launched in China, HONOR 50 has finally received its official launch in Malaysia. As you may recall from our earlier report, the full HONOR 50 lineup comprises of three different models but only the standard model is being made available for our market at the moment.
In case you missed the news, the HONOR 50 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G alongside up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. The phone also features a 6.57-inch Full HD+ OLED display with curved edges that offers a refresh rate of 120Hz and 300Hz touch sampling rate.
In terms of photography, the newly launched HONOR 50’s main camera is equipped with a 108MP sensor while there is also an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro camera as well as a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the phone relies on its 32MP punch hole front-facing camera.
A 4300mAh battery completes its general specifications and HONOR claims that the phone can gain back 70% of its battery capacity in just 20 minutes via the 66W SuperCharge charger that comes with the phone.
Price-wise, HONOR 50 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage can be obtained for RM1,699 while the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage goes for RM1,999. As part of the phone’s pre-order program, early adopters will be provided with an HONOR 50 Hand Strap Case and extended warranty.
Those who choose the 8GB/256GB variant will also receive an additional freebie in the form of HONOR Earbuds 2 Lite. The HONOR 50 can be pre-ordered right away through HONOR Malaysia’s e-store, as well as its official store on Lazada and Shopee or via Senheng/senQ branches and HONOR Authorized Stores throughout the country.
