Instagram has added a scheduling feature for live streamers and is working on another tool called “Practice Mode”. Live Creators can now schedule their Live events up to 90 days in advance and in the meantime, will be able to promote them through posts and Stories.
Through the posts that promote the event, followers can set up a reminder so they won’t miss it. Live stream scheduling on Instagram has been a long time coming as other competitors such as YouTube, TikTok, and even parent company Facebook already have the feature.

On another note, Instagram says they will soon be releasing Practice Mode, a tool that lets Live creators practice with select guests before officially commencing their broadcast. This lets them prepare everything for the broadcast beforehand, such as checking audio levels, lighting, and going over the planned content.
Live Scheduling is now rolling out to all creators globally but there’s no release date yet for Practice Mode. Instagram has been quite busy this month, working on in-app issue notifications and nudging teens to take a break. There was also the recent Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp outage that invited some minor trolling from Twitter.
