Nothing has announced that its first ever product, the Nothing ear (1), will launch locally soon. Along with this, the company also revealed that it has opened its official online store on Shopee earlier today, in preparation to welcome potential Malaysian customers.
To recap, the Nothing ear (1) are stemmed earbuds that feature translucent bodies – a design language that the company plans to incorporate into its other products down the line. It comes with 11.6mm graphene-based dynamic drivers tuned by Nothing partner Teenage Engineering, and is equipped with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) technology. The earbuds are water resistant with a rating of IPX4, and are also claimed to last up to four hours on a full charge (5.7 hours with ANC off) – with a total of 34 hours of usage via its included charging case.
In conjunction with its store’s opening and the upcoming arrival of its new earbuds, Nothing has organised a special campaign where it will give away a free unit of the Nothing ear (1) to a random winner after achieving 3,000 followers on Shopee. Aside from the earbuds, the company will also be rewarding other winners with prizes in the form of store vouchers and Shopee Coins.
While its arrival in Malaysia is imminent, Nothing has yet to reveal the local pricing or release date for the new ear (1) earbuds. With that, we can expect the company to follow up with another announcement regarding its official local launch in the coming days or even weeks.
