Microsoft has a Surface-related announcement event lined up for the end of September. The company put up a tweet that doesn’t provide much context, with a link that’s equally devoid of information. All that being said, the accompanying image does indicate that it will indeed be related to the company’s Surface line of products.
It remains to be seen what sort of device Microsoft will be announcing. The company relatively recently announced the Surface Laptop 4, which was only made available on our shores back in May. But that doesn’t necessarily exclude a possible successor or variant from being announced. Then there’s also the possibility of the more traditional Surface tablets getting unveiled.

There is also talk of a successor to the Microsoft Surface Duo popping up as well. The device itself launched with relatively little fanfare, at least compared to its initial announcement. According to Windows Central, the Surface Duo 2 will come with a triple camera setup, and is otherwise mostly similar to he original on the outside.
The event itself is slated for 22 September, at 11PM local time. Which lines up quite nicely for the upcoming Windows 11 launch on 5 October. We’ll know for sure what sort of new hardware the company has in store when that happens.
