Sony Interactive Entertainment accidentally revealed August’s free games for PS Plus subscribers ahead of time. It looks like next month’s free games may have been leaked again. But this time likely through no fault of SIE.
According to Dealabs, the free games for PS Plus subscribers for the month of September will be headlined by Hitman 2, followed by Predator: Hunting Grounds and the PS5 title, Overcooked! All You Can Eat. The French site claims that the leak was shared by one of its users, and verified by its modders. While we can only take that claim at face value, it’s just as likely to be an accurate claim as it is to be inaccurate.
But as before, it’s worth noting that there is always the chance that different regions get different free games. Chances are the list obtained by Dealabs is for France, and may extend to the rest of Europe. It’s possible that we in Malaysia will be getting a different list, which may even be different compared to our neighbours.
At any rate, we’ll find out if this is indeed an accurate list of free games for PS Plus subscribers next month. Judging from the schedule from last month’s games, PlayStation Asia will likely announce the September list some time this week, with the games being downloadable starting 7 September.
