Sony first unveiled its new ZV-E10 mirrorless APS-C camera back in July, in which the company also detailed its recommended retail price for the Malaysian market. However, it was recently discovered that there has been a change in price for all of its bundles, which are higher than what was originally proposed in our previous coverage.
According to several listings on Shopee and Lazada, the body only package now costs RM2,999 while the 16-50mm kit lens option is now priced at RM3,499. Prior to this, Sony listed them to be available at a recommended retail prices of RM2,599 and RM3,099 respectively, which means the recent revision saw an increase of RM400 for both offerings.
When reached out for clarification, a Sony spokesperson confirmed with us that the pricing for ZV-E10 bundles have indeed been revised, but did not comment further on the subject. Concurrently, the company also apologised for the confusion caused and iterated that the change in prices has been finalised.
Needless to say, the price RM400 hike for either option will not sit well with customers who’ve been looking forward to the new camera. As for those who don’t mind the change, the new ZV-E10 and its bundles are slated to arrive in Malaysia sometime in September 2021. Pre-orders for the device are now available via authorised Sony stores on Shopee and Lazada.
