While it originally revolves around smartphones, Maxis has now expanded its Zerolution programme to include other types of devices. Interesting enough, the list also covers the highly in demand Sony PlayStation 5.
However, the option is limited to the console’s Digital Edition which doesn’t come with a disc drive. Not only that, the PS5 is being offered only for those who signed up for the Maxis Unlimited Postpaid & Fibre Plan or the Maxis Family Plan with a fibre speed of 800Mbps.
That being said though, the PS5 that customers would receive through the Zerolution program will be accompanied by an extra DualSense controller and a 12-month subscription to the PlayStation Plus service. On top of that, Maxis will only charge customers RM 1 per month for the console throughout the plan’s 24-month contract duration.
While the FAQ on Maxis website didn’t touch on delivery dates, Lowyat.NET Forumer corez who has signed up for the plan earlier today was told by the staff at Maxis Center in The Gardens Mall KL that he should be able to receive the PS5 within three weeks. As for warranty services, they will still be handled by Sony Malaysia.
Aside from PS5, the Zerolution program also offers Samsung 4K TVs and monitor as well as LG curved monitor, Lenovo tablet, and Huawei MateBook laptop. To see which Maxis plan is eligible for them, check out the telco’s official website right here.
(Thanks for the tips, corez!)
