POCO will be launching another new phone for our market on 28 July, in the form of the X3 GT. In case the name sounds familiar to you, that is probably because the brand has previously launched X3 Pro in Malaysia in March while there was also the X3 NFC back in September 2020.
Even though the Malaysian launch date has been confirmed by POCO, official details regarding the device are still missing for the time being as the phone has not yet been launched by POCO. However, it has been rumoured for quite some time it is the global variant of the Redmi Note 10 Pro that was launched in China in May.
If that is true, then the X3 GT will likely be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 processor and may also feature a 6.6-inch Full HD+ IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Other than that, the phone could likely carry up to 8GB of LPDD4x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1-based internal storage.
The specs sheet of the Redmi Note 10 Pro also stated that the phone is equipped with a 64MP triple camera setup and 16MP selfie camera alongside a 5000mAH battery and a 67W USB-C charger as standard. In China, the 5G phone has a starting price of CNY1699 (~RM1,107), so it will be interesting to see how much POCO would price the X3 GT here in Malaysia, provided that the rumour is true.
