Last month, EA teased the announcement of its next Battlefield game. This came via a tweet that was questionable at best, but did mention June. Now, a new tweet gives us a specific date as to when the publisher intends to reveal the next game in the series.
The tweet itself is a 10-second video that should have just been an image. There’s not much additional information to go with, but the announcement is set to start at 10PM local time. A follow-up tweet suggests that it will take place on the official Battlefield YouTube channel. Though the channel itself hasn’t had a new video for 11 months at the time of writing.

For now, nothing much is known about the upcoming Battlefield title. Not even what it’s called. But a leaked internal video indicates that it will have a modern setting, which is more of the series’ thing. As of now, it’s still available on Reddit, though there’s an obvious bar in the middle to obscure the identity of the person who broke NDA.
As for its release date, EA will likely reveal this during the announcement of the game. The publisher’s most recent earnings report indicated that it would be released within Q4 of 2021.
