Building about the foundation set by the original M3 that was released last year, POCO today has launched a higher-end model in the form of M3 Pro 5G. Aside from the support for the next-gen cellular technology, the Pro model also carries a slightly different exterior design.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor alongside LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2-based internal storage, the M3 Pro 5G is also equipped with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD screen that is being protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The display also has a refresh rate of 90Hz and comes with a feature called DynamicSwitch that allows the refresh rate to go as low as 30Hz to match the contents on the screen.
Camera-wise, the M3 Pro 5G relies on a 48MP f/1.79 main camera which is being accompanied by a 2MP macros camera and another 2MP depth sensor. As for selfies, it is being handled by an 8MP f/2.0 front-facing camera.
Other components that POCO has also equipped in its new phone include a 3.5mm headphone hack, infrared blaster, NFC, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Completing the specs is a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging although the charger that POCO has included in the box has a power rating of up to 22.5W.
Price-wise, the POCO M3 Pro 5G with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage is listed at RM 699 while the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage goes for RM 799. However, you can obtain them at a much lower price of RM 599, and RM 699 respectively from 6 to 7 June via POCO’s official store at Shopee as part of the phone’s launch promo for our market.
