Youths aged 18-20 years old are able to redeem the eBelia RM150 e-wallet credit starting today, as per the announcement by the Ministry of Finance last month. Those eligible may claim the credit from participating providers including BigPay, Boost, ShopeePay and Touch ‘n Go (TnG) e-Wallet.
Just in case you missed it, the introduction of the eBelia programme is intended to financially aid young Malaysians and full-time students at local institutions of higher learning, while also promoting cashless spending. It’s also worth noting that user identification will be cross-checked with registered institutions and other relevant government databases to determine if they are eligible to redeem the incentive. For further clarification regarding the eligibility for claiming the credit, please visit the programme’s official web page via this link.
On top of the set RM150 credit, eligible youths are also entitled to receive additional incentives once they’ve made their claims. Depending on the e-wallet service providers, these benefits will range from cashback, vouchers, reward points or coins, which can be used for their potential purchases.
In case you’ve not claimed the credit just yet, we’ve laid out all of the additional benefits offered by each provider in this article to help you with your decision. But before we begin, we would like to remind you that it can only be redeemed once from one of the four e-wallets before 22 July. Also keep in mind that the claimed RM150 credit isn’t permanent and must be utilised by 31 July 2021. The rewards, on the other hand, will still be applicable after the deadline – unless determined by the respective e-wallet service.
BigPay
Being part of the AirAsia (AA) family, it comes as no surprise that the added incentives provided by BigPay will involve the Group’s other services. Youths planning to redeem their eBelia credit with the provider are entitled to receive rewards worth up to RM100.
These include a RM20 voucher for airasia delivery service, a RM40 voucher for AA flight tickets, and a RM40 voucher for SNAP (AA’s flight and hotel bundle booking service). On top of that, new users are also entitled to receive an extra RM20 at no charge by using the promo code PCEBELIABP upon registration.
In regards to the RM40 voucher for flights, AirAsia noted that this will only apply once travel restrictions are lifted and the nationwide vaccination programme is completed.

Touch ‘n Go eWallet
Next up is the Touch ‘n Go eWallet, which is offering youths with generous rewards totalling up to RM1,000 for redeeming the incentive on its platform. Once successfully claimed, the service will provide cash back vouchers of up to RM400 for various retail, F&B, online purchases and even transportation. Meanwhile, the extra RM600 will come exclusively as vouchers for the popular e-commerce shopping platform Lazada.
Just in case you’re wondering, TnG revealed on its website (which you can visit here) that the redeemed RM150 can also be used to pay for tolls via RFID and PayDirect. It also noted that the eBelia credit cannot be used for online purchases that rely on overseas transactions like Taobao and Alipay+, fund transfers, or other TnG eWallet in-app services such as bill payments, as well as prepaid, postpaid and game credit top-ups.
Boost
Axiata Group-owned Boost e-wallet service, on the other hand, is providing lifestyle rewards up to RM300. These can be redeemed from the platform’s participating partners, including KFC, Starbucks, Secret Recipe, Celcom, Yoodo, Zalora, Mydin and much more. Also on the table is a chance to win over RM50,000 worth of prizes, including a commemorative gold coin worth RM29,000, a MSI GF63 15.6-inch gaming laptop, iPad Pro 11-inch 128GB, Harman Kardon Aura Studio 3 and more.

ShopeePay
Last but not least is Shopee’s integrated e-wallet service, ShopeePay. Those claiming the RM150 eBelia credit on the platform are entitled to receive RM500 guaranteed vouchers which can be used for free shipping, cashback, offline purchases and much more.
According to the company, these consists of six free shopping vouchers worth RM60, eight Coins Cashback vouchers worth RM40, 60 ShopeePay Offline vouchers worth RM300, 10 Shopee Mall Brand vouchers worth RM50, and one free Yes SIM Card with up to 40GB of free data that is worth RM50. The last one is an interesting choice by Shopee but if you’re in need of a secondary (or temporary) mobile number for whatever reason, then look no further.
But wait, there’s more. If you happen to be the first 140,000 claimants on ShopeePay, you are also eligible to receive additional RM55 vouchers that can be used with Shopee’s Top Brands partners including Starbucks, FamilyMart, KFC, Caltex and many more.

Now that all of the providers’ cards are on the table, it is entirely up to you to decide on which of these that you wish to claim your RM150 eBelia credit on. Each of the listed e-wallets feature their own unique perks, so it’s also wise to put those factors into your consideration – especially for the long run. Also keep in mind that the deadline for redeeming this incentive is still a long way to go, so it is advisable that you take your time to choose carefully.
