Celcom customers could be experiencing disruption in terms of data experience at the moment as the telco revealed it is facing equipment failure at the moment. This was revealed through a notice on its official website as well as social media channels at around 3:30 PM today.
It is not known how bad the situation really is but the telco has noted that this issue may have an impact on customers’ experience in some parts of Peninsular Malaysia. Users of the telco’s sub-brand, Yoodo is affected by this incident at well.
Customers in parts of Peninsular Malaysia may find their data experience affected today due to an unfortunate equipment failure. Our technical team is working hard to resolve this issue and restore services as soon as possible.

Similarly, Tune Talk customers could be experiencing some disruptions as well since the operator is running on Celcom’s infrastructure. While Celcom said that it is currently working to rectify the issue, the company didn’t provide any estimated time for a full recovery.

It is interesting to note that Digi which is currently in the process of merging with Celcom, has also faced network disruption earlier this week although we don’t think both incidents are related to each other. Meanwhile, we will monitor the situation and keep you posted once we have more updates.
