Sega is due to announce another entry into the Yakuza spin-off, Judgment, tonight. But someone found a game called Lost Judgment on the Japanese PlayStation Store. The discovery comes just a day before it was supposed to be announced.
VGC reports that Japanese Twitter user @kenchiro_taka shared his findings before taking it down as it started getting shared around. The Lost Judgment store page states that it will be released in Japan on 24 September.
Considering that this is the Japanese PlayStation Store, there’s naturally no mention of when it will become available elsewhere. Though it’s worth noting that the last game took six months to make the transition.
Being just a store listing, there’s not much to go around as far as what the plot will be this time. But from the game’s cover art, we see that the protagonist from the last game, Takayuki Yagami, makes a return.
At any rate, it looks like the Judgment sequel may have stepped into the spotlight a little too early. Though it’s not like there’s nothing left to look forward to when the official announcement comes around. Hopefully it involves a global release date, or at least one for the English-speaking market.
