Malaysia has just received the first new product that was announced by Apple during its Spring Loaded event a few weeks ago. However, if you’re hoping for an all-new release though, we hate to burst your bubble though.
This is because the new product comes in the form of the new purple colourway for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. Based on a statement by Greg Joswiak, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Apple, it seems that the company believes that the new colourway is perfect for the ongoing spring season in the northern hemisphere.
To accompany the purple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, Apple has also released new colourways for some of its MagSafe accessories in Malaysia. Among them is the Deep Violet option for the MagSafe Leather Case:
Other than that, there is also the Capri Blue, Pistachio, Cantaloupe, and Amethyst option for MagSafe Silicone Case as well as Arizona for the Leather Wallet. Depending on the specific accessory, they are priced from RM 219 to RM 269.
As for the purple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini themselves, their pricing remained the same as per their launch price back in November last year. Available now at Apple Malaysia’s online store, the iPhone 12 starts at RM 3,899 while the iPhone 12 mini goes from RM 3,399 onwards although you can also get them through local Apple Authorized Resellers and telcos.
Meanwhile, other new products from the Spring Loaded event are heading this way as well including the M1-powered iMac & iPad Pro, AirTag, and Apple TV 4K. We will keep you posted once we are able to confirm their release date in Malaysia.
