It’s the end of April, and right on schedule, Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced next month’s list of free games for PS Plus subscribers. And it’s quite the mixed bag waiting next month at that.
The first free game for PS Plus subscribers is Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last for the PS5. But it’s actually a little bit complicated, which makes its inclusion an interesting one. While the game launched on the PS4 back in 2014, the current-gen version is supposed to be due on 1 June. And its publisher THQ Nordic previously announced prices for those looking to upgrade from previous- to current-gen. Overall, it remains to be seen which version this will end up being.
May is upon us! PS Plus members, here are your free games starting from 6 May to 31 May!

Battlefield V is the next game for PS Plus subscribers, and should need no introduction. It’s the series’ return to World War II after Battlefield 1, with a controversial trailer, to say the least. Last, and also the newest game in the list, is Coffee Talk. This is a visual novel by Indonesian studio Toge Productions, released in early 2020.
If you haven’t claimed April’s list of free games, now is a good time to do so. As for May’s list, PS Plus subscribers can claim them from 6 May until 31 May 2021.
