Wondering where’s the best place to work at? LinkedIn just released its inaugural list of the top companies in Malaysia – naming Petronas, Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), and Tenaga Nasional (TNB) as the first, second, and third respectively.
To come up with the list, the job and networking platform said it ranked companies based on seven pillars that have been shown to lead to career progression: ability to advance, skills growth, company stability, external opportunity, company affinity, gender diversity, and educational background.
Since this is a 2021 list, the platform said that data from the entirety of last year was used. Here are the top 15 companies in Malaysia, according to LinkedIn:
- Petronas
- Permodalan Nasional Berhad
- Tenaga Nasional Berhad
- AIA
- Telekom Malaysia
- Accenture
- Maybank
- OCBC Bank
- PwC
- Standard Chartered Bank
- EY
- Axiata
- Prudential plc
- Intel Corporation
- Hong Leong Bank Berhad
“We found the best companies that have put their employees first by implementing various policies around well-being and mental health, and helped them get back on their feet, through training and development programmes. For those who are looking for the next role, many of the companies on this list are hiring, with more than 45,000 open roles,” said LinkedIn APAC Senior News Editor Chris Anderson.
LinkedIn gave some examples of pro-employee policies. PNB makes its employees complete 64 hours of training every year to expand and sharpen their skills set. Standard Chartered gave its workers flexibility to work away from the office even before the pandemic happened.
What do you think? Are those the sort of things you want from an employer?
