Huawei today has officially launched the 2021 iteration of its MateBook laptop series in Malaysia, just in time with the fifth anniversary of its PC business. As per our previous report, the company has listed five new models that will be made available for pre-order starting from tomorrow, 20 April until 23 April.
While they are quite different in terms of design and feature, there are several factors that are actually shared among these 2021 MateBook models for Malaysia. For example, all five of them come standard with 16GB of RAM and 512GB solid state drive.
For the models that are powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors which include MateBook X Pro, MateBook 14, and MateBook D 15 11th Edition, they are equipped with Intel Core i5-1135G7. Subsequently, Huawei has also chosen to utilise the integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics for these laptops instead of opting for NVIDIA GeForce MX Series GPU as per some of the previous MateBook models.
On another hand, models that are running on a 10th Gen Intel Core processor such as the MateBook D 15 10th Edition and MateBook D 14, feature an Intel Core i5-10210U processor alongside the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620.
Price-wise, the MateBook X Pro goes for RM 6,899 while the MateBook 14 is available for RM 4,899. On another hand, the MateBook D 15 11th Edition and 10th Edition is priced at RM 3,899 and RM 3,299 respectively while the MateBook D 14 can be obtained for RM 3,499.
The first 1,500 pre-order customers will be provided with a free 1-year subscription of Microsoft 365 alongside a City Travel Gift Package, and Huawei Backpack Swift. There is also the Huawei Bluetooth Mouse Swift for those that opt for MateBook 14 and MateBook X Pro.
