Last year, AirAsia had launched two unlimited flight passes which allow customers to travel multiple times to selected international and domestic destinations. Today, the low-cost carrier announced yet another unlimited travel pass although this time around, customers would also receive unlimited free delivery for airasia Food, Fresh, and Shop.
The modus operandi for AirAsia’s latest unlimited travel pass which is called the ASEAN Unlimited pass is generally identical to the previous two passes. To utilise the pass, customers need to choose flights that are marked as “100% Off” when they book them through AirAsia’s website.
However, customers need to book their flights at least two weeks before the departure date and they still need to pay governmental taxes as well as airport chargers on their own. However, there are also additional charges if they want to obtain baggage, meal, and preferred seat allocations for their flights.
While AirAsia has noted that the list may change from time to time, here are the ASEAN and domestic destinations that are applicable for the ASEAN Unlimited pass at the moment:
As for the travel period, the ASEAN Unlimited pass is valid for flights from today onwards until 26 March 2022. That being said, flights availability is also subjected to border and movement policies that are put in place by respective federal and state governments.
Similarly, the unlimited free delivery for airasia Food, Fresh, and Shop that we have mentioned earlier is also valid until 26 March 2022. Price-wise, the ASEAN Unlimited pass can be obtained through AirAsia’s website from now until this Sunday, 7 March 2021 for RM 599 although BigPay cardholders can obtain it for RM 549 instead.
Before you make the jump though, we would like to remind you that interstate and international travel is still being prohibited at the moment unless you have obtained permission from the police. In addition to that, our fight against the COVID-19 pandemic is still far from over even though the government has kicked off the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme and has also eased down some of the MCO restrictions as of late.
Furthermore, AirAsia has also stated that the purchase of the ASEAN Unlimited pass is non-refundable. So, make sure that you have considered all angles and understand everything that AirAsia has laid down in the terms and conditions for the ASEAN Unlimited pass before committing to it.
