Lazada Malaysia has brought back its SME stimulus package as Pakej Kedai Pintar 2.0 to help local SMEs stay afloat during the on-going MCO 2.0 period. The RM44 million initiative, now with four times the funding of last year’s version, again aims to help businesses get started in e-commerce, making the transition between brick-and-mortar and digital as easy and seamless as possible.
A mixture of training and incentives, the whole program is designed so that even total beginners with little to no e-commerce experience can quickly get into the scene without incurring any additional capital costs.
Businesses which sign up with Pakej Kedai Pintar 2.0 will enjoy a whole raft of benefits: 0% commission rates, waived payment fees, 90 days of dedicated store-building support, Lazada University training, subsidised advertising credits for Sponsored Search, free product exposure slots on Lazada Flash Sale, and more.
If Lazada is to be believed, the previous version of this initiative did incredibly well. “After we launched the first Pakej Kedai Pintar stimulus package during MCO last year, local SMEs on our platform generated more than double the sales,” said Lazada Malaysia Chief Business Officer Sherry Tan. She noted that over one in three Malaysians shop on the Lazada app every month, giving SMEs a strong base by which to “MCO-proof” themselves.
All SMEs and individuals interested in signing up for the Pakej Kedai Pintar 2.0 stimulus package can do so from now until 28 February 2021 at Lazada Malaysia’s official website.
