As it is with major holidays, Steam usually has an annual Lunar New Year sale to coincide with the celebrations. But Valve usually keeps the actual sale dates very close to its chest, until very close to the actual sale days themselves. That being said, those dates seem to have been leaked.
SteamDB makes the claim on Twitter, citing a leaked email to Steam partners. The date of the sale itself is to be from 11 to 15 February. And it’s nice of the sale to start a day before Chinese New Year itself. Since there shouldn’t be any large scale reunion dinners going on, that time will probably be spent on gaming. That being said, not being officially announced means these dates are still subject to change.
The @Steam Lunar New Year Sale 2021 will run from 11th February to 15th.
Leaked from an email to Steam partners, and you know, the Chinese New Year is on 12th 😉https://t.co/FINTCW7BV2#SteamDeals pic.twitter.com/67NGmJZjUb

Something a little more concrete are dates for the upcoming Steam Game Festival. This is scheduled to happen between 3 and 9 February. Like the many iterations before it, this will be when Valve will put up game demos for free. These games will also more likely than not be of the indie variety.
With that, there’s nothing much else to say besides prepare your wallet. If you have the time, you should also spend some to clear out your pile of shame before you add more games to it.
