It hasn’t been too long since Apple first released the AirPods Pro and the second generation iPhone SE. But it looks like the company already has the successors to both in the works. And they may be released as early as in April 2021.
Macotakara cites Chinese supply chain sources who claim that the Apple AirPods Pro 2 will come with a “new design for the charging case”. That being said, the size of it will still remain quite similar. The new case is 21mm thick, 46mm tall, and 54mm wide. This is on contrast to the current one, which measures 21 x 45.2 x 60.6 mm.
The report is short on details regarding anything else about the Apple AirPods Pro 2. That being said, Bloomberg previously reported that the company may feature a more compact design that does without its stem.
In the same vein, the Macotakara report also mentions a third iteration of the iPhone SE, also coming in April. Again, details are light. But rather than a sequel, it’s possible that this is referring to the iPhone SE Plus instead. That being said, prior reports have indicated that its release had been delayed from the first half of 2021 to the second half.
At any rate, April isn’t too far away. If these reports are accurate, then Apple will likely make an announcement within these three months.
