Montblanc Summit Lite smartwatch is now available through Montblanc’s official website for selected markets throughout the world including Malaysia. Its existence was first noticed through Bluetooth SIG’s listing back in October before making an appearance inside Google Play Console last month.
Aside from Malaysia, we have also noticed that the Wear OS-based smartwatch has also been listed on the official website for Montblanc’s home market, Germany. What made us rather baffled at the moment is the fact that we couldn’t find any global announcement regarding Summit Lite from the company.
Hence, we are not sure whether the Summit Lite was listed on Montblanc’s website by mistake or otherwise. Since we don’t have any official information from the company at the moment, the information that we have right now is solely based on the listing.
Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor, Summit Lite comes with a 1.19-inch display which is slightly smaller than the higher-end Summit 2+ that has a screen size of 1.28-inch even though it is still powered by the same chip. Both models also have 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage but the Summit Lite is missing the 4G LTE support that is available on the Summit 2+.
Aside from that, the Summit Lite also features a 43mm aluminium case while Summit 2+ has a slightly beefier 43.5mm case made from stainless steel. According to Montblanc Malaysia’s website, the new smartwatch can be obtained in grey and black alongside a watch strap made from either rubber or fabric.
Of course, the biggest factor that differentiates them apart is their pricing as the Summit Lite is listed on the site at RM 3615 while Summit 2+ goes for RM 5400. For more information, just head on to Montblanc Malaysia’s website right here.
