The ZTE Axon 20 5G made it into the headlines back in September as the first phone in the world to feature an under-display selfie camera. However, its availability was limited to the brand’s home market in China, but that changes this week with a limited number of units being made available now for the global market including Malaysia.
For the benefit of those who aren’t familiar with the device, Axon 20 5G carries a 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera underneath its 6.92-inch Full HD+ OLED display which also has 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz sampling rate, 10-bit colour depth, and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage.
On its back, ZTE has equipped the phone with a Samsung-based 64MP f/1.89 main camera that is also accompanied by an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, 2MP f/2.4 macro camera, and 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. In terms of processing power, it relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G alongside 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Completing its general specifications is a 4220mAh battery that supports QuickCharge 4+ charger of up to 30W. As for the phone’s availability, it is slightly tricky though because ZTE is not selling the Axon 20 5G directly in Malaysia but instead, you have to get the phone from its global online store although the company will ship it to Malaysia for free.
Additionally, you need to obtain the purchase code from ZTE by filling up this form and there are only 200 units available for purchase at the moment but customers will be provided with a pair of true wireless headphones alongside their new Axon 20 5G. Priced at USD 449 (~RM 1819), you can learn more about it over at ZTE’s official website.
