Alongside the launch of its new Smart TV earlier today, realme also revealed that it will launch the realme Watch S in Malaysia later this month. The device is the second smart wearable by the company after debuting the original realme Watch model back in June.
As reported last month, the new realme Watch S features a circular 1.3-inch screen with a resolution of 360 X 360 pixels, along with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and a body made of aluminum alloy. The display also comes with a photo-sensitive sensor for automatic brightness control based on lighting conditions. realme promises to offer over 100 watch faces for the device, which will be available in stages.
Onboard the Watch S are 16 different sports modes to choose from, paired with several built-in sensors for health monitoring such as for blood oxygen levels, heart rate tracking, sleep detection and more. Other features include Bluetooth 5.0 support, remote music and camera controls, notifications, just to name a few. The new watch is rated at IP68 in terms of water resistance, and features a 390mAh battery which realme claims to last up to 15 days on a single charge.
The realme Watch S will be available in Malaysia starting 12 December 2020 and is sold at a recommended retail price of RM369. However, the company noted that the new wearable will be offered at a promotional price of only RM299 on release day for a limited time via its official store on Shopee.
