Having three generations of the Galaxy Buds already, Samsung is naturally preparing the fourth. And it will be called the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, according to its US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) listing.
There’s not much else to be gleamed from the filing though beyond the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro name. There’s an image of what could be the carrying case for the buds. Rather than the pill-shaped case that the original Buds and Buds Plus had, this one looks more squarish with rounded corners like the Buds Live.
As for the buds themselves, SamMobile reports that they will look more like standard TWS bus. In other words, it will retain the look of the original and the Plus rather than the Live’s bean shape. The report also says that the Galaxy Buds Pro will launch with the Galaxy S21 line of phones, which is to be expected.
If you don’t like the unconventional look of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live, then the Buds Pro might tickle your fancy. In addition to having a more standard TWS form, it will also come with the Live’s ANC tech. Pairing these two together should also result in better effective noise isolation and cancellation. But of course, you’ll have to wait until next year for that.
