It appears that Xiaomi may be joining the list of smartphone makers such as Samsung and Huawei who are said to target an early 2021 window to debut their flagship products. According to industry tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is suggested to launch the tentatively-titled Mi 11 handset as early as January next year.
However, not much is known regarding the phone has been revealed aside from the alleged launch date. In addition to this, the tipster says that the device has been “submitted to the Internet for filing”, and suggests that Xiaomi may announce the new device sometime in December.

Seeing that Xiaomi’s Mi series are its flagship-tier releases, it’s quite possible for the device to feature the latest high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Other details such as its display and camera hardware is anyone’s guess until an official announcement.
If the rumour is accurate, this would be the first time for the brand to debut a flagship phone early in the year. Prior to this, Xiaomi usually targets the month of February to unveil its latest Mi smartphone in China or during the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC) event. A global launch will typically follow a couple of months after its Chinese launch.
For now, the existence of the Xiaomi Mi 11 is still unconfirmed, so it is advisable to take this rumour with a pinch of salt as always. Should the supposed January 2021 launch date is to be believed, then there is a chance that the alleged unveiling of the phone in December this year could happen as well.
