With the S Pen going to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Z Fold 3, it seems like the end for the Note line. Korean daily Aju News reported as early as last week, stating that the company will be discontinuing the Note line. There was no date as to when it will happen exactly.
More recently, ETnews reports that the Samsung Galaxy Note line will get one last outing next year. Sources to the Korean news outlet also claim that the company will be going back to releasing only one model. For the past two years, the Note devices have come in two configurations.
The report also confirms by extension that the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will indeed come with S Pen support. This is due to the digitisers for it having been placed well in advance. And the time when it happened is too early for either the Note or Z Fold devices.
Though now, it remains to be seen as to when Samsung will be revealing the Galaxy Note 21 and the Z Fold 3. The company could squeeze both into the second Unpacked event around August. Alternatively, one of them could even be launched at a separate date altogether.
