Basically, accessories such as the VideoMic, MicroLED and so on are attached to the SmartGrip and optional DCS-1 dual mount, which are connected to the Tripod 2. According to Rode, the grip features rubberised grips, accommodate phone sizes from 65mm to 85mm wide, and could support a single accessory on its own.
However, two separate accessories can be mounted at the same time on the SmartGrip via the DCS-1 dual mount attachment. Meanwhile, the Tripod 2 features a gimbal head mount, and could be used in handheld mode or opened up to be placed on a desktop.
All three Rode Vlogger Kits are available now in the US and each are priced at US$149 (~RM608). The company noted that the product’s availability in other regions such as the UK and Australia will be announced in the coming weeks. It is not known if the bundles will be sold in Malaysia anytime soon.
