realme may have made its name as a smartphone brand but truth be told, the off-shoot brand of OPPO has plenty of non-phone devices under its wings. After launching realme Watch in Malaysia back in June, it looks like the company is now gearing up to launch its successor very soon.
This is based on the teaser that the company put up on its Facebook page earlier today:
From the image alone, you might guess the model is the realme Watch S that the company had recently unveiled in Pakistan and Europe. As opposed to its predecessor that has a square body, the Watch S comes with a circular body instead.
However, the Watch S has a slightly smaller 1.3-inch display as compared to the original realme Watch that has 1.4-inch display although the display on the new model is slightly higher at 360 x 360. Alongside Corning Gorilla Glass and aluminium alloy case, the Watch S is also equipped with a much larger battery at 390mAh which allows it to have longer battery life at up to 15 days.
According to realme Pakistan’s website, the IP68-certified Watch S comes with heart rate and blood oxygen sensors as well as the ability to track 16 sports modes and sleeping habits. Unfortunately, we don’t see any reference to built-in GPS on the website though.
In Pakistan, the Watch S is priced at PKR 14,999 which is equivalent to around RM 383, so it will be interesting indeed to see how much realme will price the new fitness watch for our market. Given the teaser, expect the Malaysian launch of the Watch S to take place very soon.
