Two months after the company confirmed the phone’s release in Malaysia, Sony has finally begun to accept pre-orders for the Xperia 5 II. However, the pre-order announcement does carry another news of itself though.
But first, let’s take a quick look at the phone’s attributes. For starters, the Xperia 5 II (pronounced as Xperia Five Mark Two) is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processors and carries a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display that also has 120Hz refresh rate alongside Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
On its back, the Xperia 5 II offers a triple camera system which includes a 12MP f/1.7 Exmor RS main camera, 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, and 12MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. All the optical for these cameras are provided by Zeiss and is also inclusive of Zeiss T* coatings that helped reduced unwanted reflection.
Other than that, the IP65/68-certified phone Xperia 5 II also comes with an 8MP selfie camera, 3.5mm audio jack and 4000mAh battery that can obtain up to 50% of its power in 30 minutes when used with at least a 21W charger.
If you have planned to get your hands on the Xperia 5 II, you will only be able to receive it in January 2021 which is slightly later than Sony Malaysia’s original December release date. On another hand, pre-order customers will receive the WF-XB700 True Wireless Headphones alongside their new Xperia 5 II.
As for the price, it still remains at RM 4099 as per what Sony had informed us back in October. To learn more, just head on to Sony Malaysia’s Facebook page or you can also visit its official website directly right here.
