Ubisoft has delayed the launch of Far Cry 6 from its initial launch date of 18 February. While the exact date was not announced back then, a listing of the game on the Microsoft Store suggests a launch in the middle of next year.
Specifically, the Far Cry 6 listing for the Xbox Series X says the game will be out on 26 May. And it’s the only platform to have the date listed besides Ubisoft’s own. The latter, oddly enough, still has the game listed as getting released on 18 February.
Not much yet is known about Far Cry 6 as far as its plot goes. Since its initial leak back in July, we know that Giancarlo Esposito will be playing the game’s primary villain. The game is also set to take place in a fictional Latin American country called Yara. But if you’re familiar with the five prior games in the series, you’ll probably have a rough idea of the way the game’s plot will pan out.
Far Cry 6 is set to release on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and on PC. Though for the latter, you’ll have to get it via Ubisoft’s own store or via the Epic Games Store.
