Nioh 2 is coming to PC in the form of its Complete Edition next year. If you were expecting something similar with the PS5, you’d be right. But for the new console, it’s not just Nioh 2. In fact, it will be getting what’s called The Nioh Collection.
As the name suggests, The Nioh Collection features the remastered, complete edition versions of both games. You’ll not only get the first Nioh and Nioh 2, but also all of their DLCs included.
Being remastered versions for the new generation consoles, you can expect enhancements that make use of the console’s abilities. This includes 4K resolution and up to 120FPS.
At the same time, Koei Tecmo will also be releasing Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition for the PS4 as well. And if you buy this, you’ll be entitled to a free upgrade to the remastered version when you finally get a PS5. The same applies to the base game; you’ll be entitled to the remastered version for the game. DLCs for the game will also be upgraded for free if bought separately. As an added bonus, the game also supports save transfers and cross-gen multiplayer.
The Nioh Collection, Nioh Remastered – The Complete Edition and Nioh 2 Remastered – The Complete Edition will all be released for the PS5 on 5 February. The same applies to the PS4 version of Nioh 2 The Complete Edition. But as a reminder, the Steam version also releases on the same day.
