On top of its various smartphone models released throughout the years, OPPO has continuously added more products to its lineup. These include wearables, audio devices, and even smart TVs. Interestingly, it is said that the company is planning to further expand its product offerings yet again in 2021 by releasing its own tablets and notebooks.
This rumour is provided by none other than Chinese industry insider Digital Chat Station on Weibo. Unfortunately, the tipster did not reveal much information regarding what OPPO has in store, aside from the fact that it is showing interest in exploring the possibilities of releasing the aforementioned products under its brand.
Some might say that this is a long time coming for the company, as other competitors such as Huawei and Samsung have long established themselves in the mobile PC and tablet market. If OPPO is indeed planning to join the fray, we could potentially see more competition to both markets and maybe some new innovations to go along with it.
There’s also a possibility that the company’s subsidiary brand Realme will tag along for the ride as well. Although it is also likely that their releases may be limited to just tablet-based devices. Regardless, we shall wait and see whether OPPO will actually announce its first tablet and notebook PCs in the near future.
