YouTube Music has announced that it is rolling out a new activity bar that will give users access to up to four personalised playlists. Specifically, these playlists will be based on four featured activities: Workout, Focus, Relax, and Commute.
The types of playlists here seem pretty self-explanatory. For example, tapping on the Workout playlist gives you access to music that best suits your workout routine, while accessing the Focus playlists should start playing music that would put you in the zone while you work.
Much like Spotify’s Made For You, the feature is undoubtedly a convenient way for both users to access without having to curate their own playlist, and for YouTube Music to recommend and curate music based on a user’s personal preference.
At the time of writing, Google is in the process of rolling out the feature for YouTube Music to both Android and iOS.
