Razer may be a bona fide gaming company but from time to time, it would also launch products that are designed for productivity. The Razer Book 13 which has just been unveiled by the company yesterday is one such product.
At a glance, one might notice that the Razer Book 13 is just a Razer Blade Stealth 13 in a different colourway. Once you take a closer look though, you would then notice that the new model has a slightly larger 13.4-inch display with 16:10 aspect ratio alongside thinner upper and lower screen bezels.
Available in several configurations including UHD+ touch screen panel, the display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 6. Weighing at around 1.34kg, Razer also pointed out that the Book 13 chassis was made from a single block of aluminium.
In terms of processing power, the Book 13 can be obtained with up to Intel Core i7-1165G7, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB solid state drive. Razer claimed that the laptop has a battery life of up to 10 hours and since the Core i7 variants of the laptop have been certified as Intel Evo model, they also come with quick charge capability that allows them to obtain 4 hours of usage time through just 30 minutes of charging.
Interesting enough, the Book 13 still features the Razer Chroma RGB keyboard despite being made for productivity. It relies on integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics though, so potential owners out there may want to consider getting external GPU case such as Razer’s own Core X if they need more graphical firepower.
Pricewise, the Razer Book 13 with Core i5 starts at USD 1199.99 (~RM 4969) while Core i7 models can be obtained from USD 1599.99 (~RM 6625) onwards. However, its availability and pricing for Malaysia are not yet known at the moment although if you still want a Razer laptop in your hands, the company has recently begun to offer Razer Blade in our market once again.
