As smartphone brand like Samsung begins winding down wrapping up 2020, it is also undoubtedly getting ready to launch its next flagship, the Galaxy S21. Thanks to new information by popular leakster Jon Prosser (@jon_prosser), we very well may be getting Samsung’s new flagship sooner than expected.
According to Prosser’s tweet, the Galaxy S21 could see a 14 January announcement and a 29 January 2021 launch. That launch date is a pretty big deal, especially since Samsung traditionally announces a new Galaxy S series device sometime in March. In addition, the preorder period for the phone seems set for 14 January as well.

What’s even more intriguing about Prosser’s tweet is that he’s somehow managed to gain information about the Galaxy S21’s colour schemes as well. Specifically, he says that the phone will be available in some variation of Black, White, Grey, Silver, Violet, and Pink.
Beyond that, there’s still no credible information about the Galaxy S21’s hardware. The only thing we do know is that the phone will be running with Qualcomm’s unannounced Snapdragon 875 SoC – probably an Exynos equivalent for the rest of the world – and a camera system that would either be better or worse than the one on the Galaxy S20.
Once again, Prosser’s tweet is considered a rumour, so the standard disclaimer of salt and scepticism still applies.
