There is little doubt that MSI is focusing on the marketing of its GE66 Raider gaming laptop, even going as far as launching the limited Dragonshield edition model, which features a skin designed by Colie Wertz. Now it appears that the brand is collaborating with video game publisher, Ubisoft, to launch a model with a custom Assassin’s Creed (AC) Valhalla skin.
News of the new special edition AC Valhalla GE66 Raider was first announced on the Japanese site, Japan NEWS. The gaming laptop is officially known as the GE66 Raider VE and as mentioned, you can expect the laptop to be covered with intricate Assassin’s Creed themes and designs, both on the outside and inside.
Specs-wise, the GE66 Raider VE doesn’t seem any different from the standard GE66. You still get an Intel Core i7-10875H CPU, up to 32GB DDR4 RAM, either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or RTX 2070 discrete GPU, a 15.6-inch Full HD panel with 240Hz refresh rate, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and a 1TB NVMe SSD.
Pricing for the GE66 VE starts from 230000 Yen (~RM9175) for the base model, while the top-of-the-line version of the laptop will retail for 270000 Yen (~RM10771) in Japan. At the time of writing, there is no indication if or when MSI intends to launch the special edition laptop outside to other countries. On top of that, preorders for the laptop will begin on 10 November, which is also the official launch date of AC Valhalla.
