Even though we will be wrapping up the year in less than two months’ time, phone manufacturers are still releasing new devices into our market. As for OPPO, the company has just expanded its line-up in Malaysia with a new mid-ranger called A73 which a name that the company has used for F5 Youth in selected markets back in 2017.
The A73 2020 itself is also called F17 in India but only two colourways made their way to Malaysia though, which include Dynamic Orange and Navy Blue. At a glance, the leather-like back cover on the new phone especially the one in Dynamic Orange looked almost identical to the Orange Vegan Leather version of the company’s high-end model, the Find X2 Pro.
Given it is a mid-range phone, the A73 2020 offers more modest hardware though with some premium features thrown into the mix. The specs list includes Qualcomm Snapdragon 662, 6.44-inch Full HD AMOLED display with in-display fingerprint reader, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB internal storage.
On the back of the phone, there is a 16MP main camera alongside 8MP ultra-wide and two 2MP monochrome cameras. There is also a 16MP selfie camera housed inside the teardrop-shaped notch on A73 2020’s display.
Completing its general specifications is a 4015mAh battery which supports 30W VOOC Flash Charge charger that allows the phone to be fully charged in less than an hour. In terms of pricing, the A73 2020 is priced at RM 899 and is currently available for pre-order until 11 November through OPPO Malaysia’s official website as well as its official Shopee store.
