Sony Revamps Its PlayStation App For An Improved User Experience

Sony has announced that the company will be adding a couple of significant updates to its dedicated PlayStation App. Considering the reveal date of PlayStation 5 which is set to be on November 12 as previously reported, the company is also offering users a revamped app experience in commemoration of the game console launch.

Among highlighted updates include a updated user interface providing access to recently played games and the ability to chat with 15 people at the same time via the new party group feature. Furthermore, the PS Store within the app is also revamped for an easier shopping experience.

Speaking of integration, it is also worth mentioning that the PS Messages feature will also be integrated within the PlayStation App with this update. As a result, the company has decided to discontinue the standalone PS Messages app altogether.

At the time of writing, the aforementioned updates are already in its global rollout phase right now and will be available on both the Android and iOS platforms. With that said, users will be able to directly launch PS5 games, as well as manage storage and other features through the updated Playstation App.
