LG has announced the launch of its rollable TV, the Signature OLED R, in South Korea. We first heard of it all the way back in January this year with very scarce details. Now that it’s official, we finally know a little bit more about it.
The LG Signature OLED R features a rollable OLED screen, naturally, measuring 65 inches across. But rather than rolling down from the ceiling, the display is deployed upwards from a base. The base also serves as the rollable TV’s speakers.
Unfortunately, the announcement was very short on details beyond the above. No resolution of the screen was given either, but judging from reports back in January, it’s likely a 4K UHD display.
And of course, if the LG Signature OLED R is anything, fancy is definitely the world for it. As such, it is only available at seven premium consumer electronic stores in its home of South Korea. And it has a price tag befitting its premium nature, which is KRW100 million (~RM373899).
As of now, there’s no word if the LG Signature OLED R will be available anywhere else outside its home country. This includes the Malaysian market, as well as its possible local price.
