WhatsApp is reportedly working on letting users make voice and video calls via the web client. Right now, the aforementioned feature is only supported on the mobile version of WhatsApp.
As reported by WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp Web video and voice call support is looking to be introduced within the next few weeks under its beta-testing phase. The team also provided a few screenshots for a better understanding of how the feature will actually work.
As seen in the screenshot above, upon receiving a call on WhatsApp Web, users will see a window that will provide them with an option to either accept or decline an incoming call. However, when users themselves decide to make a call on their own, they will be greeted with another separate window which displays the status of the call in a smaller size.
As mentioned earlier, this feature is currently not available at the moment. We will provide you with more updates when the aforementioned features are readily available for use on WhatsApp Web.
