DJI has recently released a teaser on its official Twitter account suggesting that it will launch the successor to 2018’s DJI Osmo Pocket tomorrow on 20 October 2020. However, it appears that leaked press images of the device have already made its way online, providing us a good look at what to expect.
According to leakster OsitaLV, the Osmo Pocket 2 shares the same size as its predecessor but packs several new improvements to its functionalities and hardware. It is said that the device comes with an upgraded camera with enhanced zooming capabilities, and its interface now features a joystick for controlling the gimbal manually.

Other than that, the pocket gimbal also includes improvements in low light performance, a new “portrait beautify” feature, and wireless microphone support. Unfortunately, the leakster did not mention the battery life of the Osmo Pocket 2.

As mentioned earlier, DJI will officially launch the new gimbal on 20 October at 9pm local time. You can expect the pricing and availability of the Osmo Pocket 2 to also be revealed during the event.
