When Sony Interactive Entertainment first revealed the DualSense controller, we saw its two-tone colourway. No doubt some would prefer a monotone colour scheme. And it looks like such a thing may exist, even if it may not be something for the official market.
The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has images of an all-black DualSense from multiple angles, and even the inside. These were shared online by Twitter user @welltest789. But the images themselves were filed all the way back in April, which is the same month of the controller’s official reveal.

Though, as mentioned, it’s quite likely that this DualSense is not meant to appear on store shelves. One reason to think so is that the controller lacks the face button markings, your square, circle, triangle and cross. Even the D-pad lacks the arrows each button is supposed to represent. All this suggests that this may be one of the final prototype versions, something to go with devkit versions of the PS5.
But who knows, SIE may just have something like this single-coloured DualSense planned when it comes to accessories not included in the PS5. Wishful thinking on my part, but one can hope. The console is set to be officially available on 19 November, which is exactly a month away from today.
