Barely a day after making its new smartwatches available for Malaysia consumers, Apple has unlocked yet another new device for our market. First shown to the world during its 15 September’s special event, the 4th generation iPad Air is essentially the first product to feature the equally new 5nm A14 Bionic chip.
As per usual, the new generation iPad Air can be obtained in several variants according to its storage and connectivity. However, only the Wi-Fi model can be ordered in Malaysia at the moment and the 4G LTE variant will only be available at a later time.
In case you missed the pricing of the tablet inside our initial report, the 4th gen iPad Air Wi-Fi variant with 64GB internal storage goes for RM 2599 while the unit with 256GB is priced at RM 3249. Even though the 4G LTE model is not available for purchase at the moment, its pricing has been listed as RM 3149 and RM 3799, respectively.
For those who are wondering, yes, the 4th gen iPad Air still comes with a power adapter inside the box. Specifically, Apple has included a 20W USB-C power adapter as well as a USB-C cable together with the new tablet.
While the actual delivery date may differ from one area to another, the estimated delivery date that Apple Malaysia’s website showed for our HQ area in Kuala Lumpur signifies that the tablet would arrive onto consumers hands between the end of October and early November. Hence, you may be able to check out the tablet at stores very soon although given the current COVID-19 pandemic, purchasing it online is a wiser decision.
